The challenge
At the end of an unprecedented year, Sky Cinema and Virgin Radio wanted to give one listener of the Chris Evans Breakfast Show the Ultimate Christmas Day. The prize package needed to be family-focussed, fully Covid-secure and delivered within days of the winner being announced on Friday 18th December.

The solution
Developed and fulfilled the biggest prize package ever given away on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky, including a home cinema set-up with Sky Q to enjoy Sky Cinema’s line-up of festive movies; food and drinks prepared by a professional chef for Christmas day; decorations to turn the winner’s home into a winter wonderland; presents for friends and the whole family; and a £2,000 donation to their chosen charity or foodbank.
The results
On-air competition received a campaign reach of 1.5m and media value of more than £120k.
225 families wrote and recorded their very own Christmas songs for the chance to win the amazing prize, with 12 runners-up also receiving Sky Q free for a year, a 43” UHD TV, Sky Sound Box and donation to their chosen charity or foodbank. The winning family and their song – wishing everyone a ‘Normal Christmas’ despite the challenging year, which was voiced by 5-year-old Patch – also received significant coverage outside of The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, including an interview on ITV News.
