“SAM A Saxon”, the Disney+ original series based on the incredible true story of Samuel Njankouo Meffire, East Germany’s first Black policeman, was at the center of an historic global tour hosted by some of the world’s leading academic, and cultural institutions.
Spearheaded by tpf publicity, Black German Heritage & Research Association, the German Embassy Washington, and Fremantle-backed Big Window Productions, the tour was a landmark cultural event to help highlight the groundbreaking impact the series has had on the Afro-German and Black communities, and the opportunities it sets out to create for underrepresented and underserved voices in the industry.
Visiting Berlin, London, and several U.S. states including North Carolina, Chicago, and New York, the global tour consisted of several exclusive screenings, student workshops, and Breakthrough Leaders masterclasses, which secured the support of influential opinion makers to elevate the profile of the series internationally including media outlets such as The Nation, and The New York Times.
