To execute a global online drawing competition for the serialisation of J.K. Rowling’s new book, The Ickabog, with just a three-week lead time! We also launched the book on publication day with a virtual author Q&A session, broadcast across all social platforms.
An online competition entry hub was built in lightning speed, capable of handling thousands of entries per day with a back end judging system built into the functionality.
Ahead of the book’s publication we produced an as-live virtual event featuring the author, a host and children who had won the drawing competition, from all over the globe.
A sophisticated event production was delivered using a virtual studio taking in ten different video feeds from around the world. The content was then edited for broadcast as a Facebook Premiere and across other social channels.
More than 50,000 entries were received and judged, making the competition a huge success in delivering 34 winning illustrations to feature in the published book.
So far, the virtual launch event has achieved millions of views and engagements.
